About a month later than normal...
Oooh That looks really nice!
Beautiful WR! My bloomed late as well.
I like the deep red, looks great!
Thats a beautiful home too!
Thank you. The walls are are 12" thick & its VERY efficient. Even in the summer when it is 100+, our bill is $150 - 175 per month. Not bad for 3400 Sq. Ft. (all electric).
Here is a closer look at the 'Red Rocket' blooms:
I also have a crape myrtle that I first crossbred 30+ years ago. We have kept propagating it and have had it at every house we've ever owned. We call it 'Red Thread' (its mostly white - with the slightest shade of pink & blood red 'threads'). Just started 9 more of them last week...
Mr. Ranch, I guess I missed the post earlier, but just want to say that you have a beautiful home. Is the Red Rocket a commercial variety or is it one you developed?
Commercial. Funny thing was they, used to be hard to find & then about 10 years ago they were readily available.
That's pretty awesome
I really like that deep red Ranch ! (Crape Myrtles) Are they hard to find ?
I don't know about nowadays... I haven't been in a nursery in years.
