I got some cuttings of dill wich is mainly seeds on the ends, I want it to use as a spice but Ive never used dill seed. How or what should I do with it? Let it dry then grind it up, or?

You can make dill pickles with them. You can also sprinkle them on a loaf of homemade bread (kind of like they do with sesame seed or poppy seed).

Slowngreen, I don't think the seeds will give you the taste you are looking for if you use them like you would dried dill weed. As Mr. said, the seed heads can be used to make some fine dill pickles. You can let the heads dry completely then thrash the heads to save the seed for planting in the spring.
