I have a absolute love or the Jade plant. I have had one in my life in one way or another since I believe I was born.
My mother had an old one that looked more tree then plant. It would get broken, knocked down, and gererally mauled by pets, and us kids, on a regular basis. It is still alive.
I took a part of it with me to college. It then came with me to my new home and marriage. I have to admit I am not sure if it is still alive, as I left the plant when I left the husband.
Now I am in Caliornia, and I find the lowly jade plant being used as a hedge in Stinton Beach. So I now have another little bit of jade that in 2 years has grown into a lovely plant.
When in Carmel By The Sea, I stay at the Mission Inn. They have jade plants all over the place, and around Christmas they are blooming. It is a small, white flower, and is very pretty. I hope that my jade will flower.
I recommend this as a lovely succulent and easy plant to keep.
