I was researching how to blanch green beans for freezing and came across this site:
http://www.anoregoncottage.com/the-easy-way-to-freeze-green-beans-no-blanching/
It says you don't have to blanch green beans, tomatoes or peppers for freezing. You don't even wash them first (which causes ice crystals). Could somebody check this site and let me know if I can freeze green beans, etc. the no-blanch way? It sure would be a time saver as my green beans are already producing abundantly and I don't want to waste them.
However, I plan to share these with family and friends and don't want anybody to get sick. I will take the air out with a Food Saver vacuum sealer. Thanks!
