The wife has an umbrella plant that is getting very tall, much taller than it probably should. Looking for any care tips for this type of plant. It's probably been neglected but remains to look good and continue to grow.
Most "umbrella plants" are Schefflera arboricola which is a large shrub or small tree. They're good plants for a while but usually out grow the space if you give it conditions it at least kind of likes.
Thanks @Mr_Yan, was doing more searching and found I could cut this back pretty far if I wanted to. Seems some people actually use these plants as if a bonsai tree.
It was pretty tall, all height and no width. Cut it back and and it looks much better now. Need to put it in new soil and I think it'll be good for a good while.
